DoubleBass & Quicksand type posters
Typographic posters need to get the attention of the viewer. To create two visually interesting, and unique typographic posters that are completely different from each other. The challenges of this project was to incorporate the type cohesively, and portray the typefaces correctly to match the aesthetic and history of the type.
For the Doublebass poster, I wanted to create a poster inspired by Saul Bass and film posters. After researching, I developed my concept to be fully unified and tie back to the history of both Saul Bass and the
Doublebass typeface.
In similar fashion I started my Quicksand poster by researching and sketching. The concept was to make the poster like a movie poster instead of a classic type poster. I imagined the font as a movie and incorporated the typography within the visuals. Using calm colors and detailed and realistic illustrations, the Quicksand poster heavily contrasts my Doublebass poster.
