The CONNECT Conference
My team was presented with an offer to create the branding for a new annual conference for one of the biggest colleges on campus. It was our job to come up with a name and visual identity that encapsulated dozens of different subjects, from Hospitality, food, business, and marketing.
That was one of the challenges, to combine so much with so little time we had. Not only that, but communicating and fitting in with the college’s existing branding while also making the conference’s own was a whole new challenge.
To start, researching the events, brainstorming, and sketching as a team was our first step. It comes with hundreds of concepts, names, and logos. From there, as a team, we narrowed our options and ended up with my name, “THE CONNECT CONFERENCE,” and logo as the final. The team then used this idea and brought it into what was needed: stickers, slideshows, social media posts, and signs. We were there to lead the way. The college was ecstatic with the name and branding and celebrated the success.
